In celebration of Women's History Month, we want to highlight the remarkable history and evolution of the Women's Student Association (WSA) at Harvard Business School. Established in the early 1970s, the WSA emerged as a pioneering force, advocating for the needs and recognition of the then small community of women at HBS. This initiative was born out of a necessity to support women navigating the challenges of a predominantly male-dominated business world, marking a significant step towards fostering gender inclusivity and equity at HBS. Our role is to make the women at HBS feel supported, both professionally and personally. Our mission is to connect, empower, and celebrate the next generation of women leaders. We feel it's our responsibility to ensure the women in our campus community have the resources and allies they need to thrive, both as HBS students and as future leaders. International Women's Day (IWD) celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is an official holiday in at least 20 countries and grows in recognition each year. This year’s IWD theme is Choose to Challenge because from challenge comes change, and collectively we can create an inclusive world.
