What is your favorite part about working with employers?
I get asked a lot of the same questions throughout the day but what I love most about my job is that, in many cases, the answers will be different. There is not one right answer for every recruiter and how they connect with students on campus so much depends on the needs and capabilities of their organization. My job is less about sharing information about the kinds of events that we offer on campus and more about gathering information from the organizations to hear what they need and how I can help them achieve that. There is that great moment, after you’ve learned exactly what an organization is looking to achieve on campus and used your own expertise to help them decide the best way to connect with students, when you hear that a student has landed the job of their dreams and because of it that organization is one step closer to achieving their goals.
