Tell us about your role at HBS.
As a Recruiting Relations Manager in Career and Professional Development, I engage daily with organizations looking to develop and refine their recruiting strategy at HBS. The industries I work with include Investment Banking, Manufacturing and Retail. Managing a diverse set of industries keeps me on my toes! I am also part of our Operations team and am heavily involved in planning all of our on-campus recruiting events.
What is your favorite part about working with employers?
My favorite part of working with employers is helping them develop their recruiting strategies. HBS has many great resources to guide employers on how to connect with students and alumni: Career Hub, student clubs and resume databases. All of these tools provide direct connections between the organizations and students. Events are also an effective way to meet students, either in person or virtually, and working with each organization to determine which format will work best in reaching their goals is always a really interesting process.
What was the highlight of the year for you?
Managing the logistics for Company Information Day was a highlight, as I was new to my position and still getting to know all of the great organizations and recruiters I work with. Coordinating CID was a great introduction to the start of the recruiting cycle; the meet and greets also allowed me to meet representatives from a variety of organizations, which was fun!
Tell us a fun fact.
I like to use the summer weather in New England to be active outdoors and over the past two years have hit some personal goals including completing my first marathon and a half Ironman!
