I grew up studying violin, piano, and opera and my mother was a world-touring musician so music has always been a big part of my identity. What really draws me to the industry though is the power of music in shaping both people and culture. I am so excited to be working in an industry where the product we create has the ability to uplift and comfort as a universal healer, and unite as a universal language. To top it off, it is perhaps the most exciting time to be working in music, as major players make significant changes to their business model in an effort to adapt to technological changes. We are at a critical inflection point, and the opportunity to shape the direction of the industry inspires me greatly. [...]

On Sunday November 6, over 350 people flocked to the Harvard Business School campus to attend the Marketing Innovation Conference. I’m a born and raised New Englander. I grew up in the suburbs of Boston and then headed to Yale for college. I continued west to Los Angeles, where I worked in the media industry for 6 years - for Creative Artists Agency and then for a studio based film and television production company. Getting my MBA at Kellogg brought me halfway back to New England and then family brought me all the way back home. I’ve been working at HBS for the past 11 years. [...]

Sound Society has had a busy first year. 2015-2016 saw the club established with the goal of establishing more of a music presence on campus. What started out as simply having music playing at TGIFs or providing DJs for some of the HBS social events has turned into a full-fledged music entertainment powerhouse on campus. [...]
