Health Care and Life Science at HBS
More than 8,000 Harvard Business School (HBS) alumni are working in the health care sector around the world—in biotech, digital health, financial services, and other industries. We asked seven alumni to explain why they chose their careers in health care. [...]
Hej! Reporting from Copenhagen here. My first year of HBS is complete, and I moved here one month ago for my summer internship. I’m working in New Product Development at Radiometer – a medical device subsidiary of Danaher. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) going up on Western Ave, across the street from HBS, the concept of the Allston “Innovation Corridor” is visibly well underway. [...]
This past summer, Founding Faculty Chair Vicki Sato, six Blavatnik Fellows and a few sous chefs (aka significant others) spent an evening at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts cooking up business ideas and perfecting their recipe for success. There are many parallels between cooking and creating businesses from scratch. Both encourage teams to work with a spirit of creative collaboration, set goals, delegate tasks, develop skills, meet timelines, and in the end enjoy the delicious rewards of a job well done. [...]
