Tell us what you're up to these days.

Right after graduation, I packed my bags and moved out to Los Angeles, California. As a life-long New York City resident, it was a big transition to move out west, but once I learned how to drive, it was smooth sailing. I spent some time at Warner Bros., working on strategy projects for the studio including a film partnership in China, and at FX Networks, working on the creative side in original programming and development. Now I'm combining my business and creative skill sets in my role as the COO of Casey Patterson Entertainment (CPE), an entertainment company with a focus on premium live and talent-driven series and specials. As COO, I'm helping to build and develop CPE, and working on a variety of productions including the MTV Movie Awards, an upcoming concert special for Fox, and Dwayne Johnson's Rock the Troops. I'm also serving as the Executive in Charge of our Lip Sync Battle Franchise.

How has having an MBA impacted your career?

Hollywood is a place where your network is one of your most important assets. Since I've moved out west, I've been able to interact with alums at all levels and functions at some of the most influential entertainment companies in the world. Now that I'm taking on a COO role, I'm also overseeing the entire range of the business, from operations to marketing to finance. Since I was exposed to all of these areas in business school, ramping up across the board has been much easier.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Where will the next chapter take you?

The entertainment industry is changing so rapidly right now, it's hard to say how the landscape will look next year, more or less five years from now. At CPE, we'll spend the next five years building a global and multi-platform live entertainment company. We hope to produce the highest quality storytelling anywhere and everywhere the fans are!
