Careers in Climate Action Spring 2025: Climate and Sustainability Consulting

Interested in a career in climate and sustainability consulting? Join the Salata Institute and Harvard Business School's Business and the Environment Initiative on February 5th, 2025, for the Careers in Climate Action Speaker Series, highlighting career opportunities in climate and sustainability consulting. The event will feature a panel discussion of alumni speakers including Seth Reynolds, MPA '01, EY Americas SaT Sustainability Leader and EY Parthenon Education Practice Leader, Oliver Badenhorst, MBA '20, Principal, Boston Consulting Group, and Naomi Davy, AB '22, Associate, Coho Climate Advisors who will reflect on their work and career path, providing students from across Harvard with valuable insights needed to launch a climate career. Each event will include a one-hour Q&A with the speaker followed by a dinner reception. All events will be recorded and posted on the Salata Institute website.

Beating the heat is an increasing challenge. But too many proposed solutions have limited immediate impact or support. Investors, activists, and community members want returns faster. Please join us on January 23rd, 2025 in Miami for a session led by Professor Rosabeth Moss Kanter featuring leadership challenges, strategies, and tactics from some potentially high-impact ventures with “cool” solutions that can reinvent industries, scale quickly, and make stakeholders more comfortable and supportive. Stories include: • Energy on the beach: onshore challenges of offshore wind • “The wheels on the bus” go electric: the power of fleets • Putting the cool in cooling: reinventing air conditioning • Changing the game…venue: the green sports arena and the city The session will identify success factors, screening questions, and leadership lessons. Agribusiness Seminar Reception

The HBS Agribusiness Seminar is an executive education program that has been held for more than six decades, drawing owners, investors, CEOs, and senior leaders from firms across the food system and around the world. About 175 executives attend the program, with approximately half from the U.S. and half from 25+ other countries. On Tuesday, January 14, from 6:30-7:45pm, Seminar participants will convene for a reception with appetizers. The Seminar organizers invite current MBA students interested in food-related careers—from agricultural production to agtech to consumer goods; from sustainability to food security to innovation—to join the reception and meet some of the most experienced executives in these fields.
