Round 1 Update
We are enjoying reading your applications and getting to know you! Thanks to those of you who applied in R1. I remember what it’s like to be in your shoes and know that one of the hardest parts about “waiting” is not knowing how long you’ll be waiting. So, here’s what happens next (and when).
Interview notifications: As you likely know, the next step is an invitation to interview. This is our chance to get to know you in person. We interview roughly 2x the number of people we can eventually admit, and those interview invitations come out in two waves: October 1 and October 4 at noon eastern time. Early release: If we are not able to invite you to interview, we will let you know on October 4 that you are being “released” from the process. Of course we wish we could move more people forward—our hope is that this earlier timing is helpful to you, even if it’s not the hoped for outcome. I’ll write a bit more about the specifics as we get closer to October 1. Thank you for your patience!
