How to Get Involved
Independent Projects
Independent Projects allow second-year HBS students to partner with an organization on a real-time challenge of strategic importance. Students are advised by a faculty member and receive academic credit for their final deliverable(s). Organizations benefit from the work performed, as well as from the opportunity to engage with students who might be a fit for your organization.
In past BEI Independent Projects, student teams have helped develop a commercial plant site selection plan for silicon wafer manufacturer 1366 Technologies, a go-to-market plan for the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid SUV, and an investigation of potential strategic partnerships to support the rapid commercialization of next-generation batteries by Pellion Technologies.
Student clubs — including the Energy & Environment Club; Food, Agriculture, and Water Club; and Sustainability Club — provide access to students who want to learn about your company and hear from senior leaders. Organizations are invited to design targeted events in collaboration with clubs.
Organizations can also request resume books from any official student club via the HBS online recruiting platform.
