- A strong dedication to developing or furthering academic interest and excellence in business research;
- The ability and desire to participate successfully and enthusiastically in a diverse community of scholars;
- An academic record demonstrating success in coursework that develops theoretical knowledge and/or practical application of academic principles in research;
- A commitment to participate and contribute for the full duration of the program.
- Submit a complete application, which will include 3 short essay questions;
- Copy of your current transcript, ideally with Fall 2024 grades posted. Unofficial copy is acceptable;
- One academic letter of recommendation. Recommendation letters are submitted online through our secure website;
- Resume;
- Review the PRIMO Research Areas: You will be asked to select your top three topics of interest in your application.
HOW TO APPLY
Applications for PRIMO 2025 will open in November 1, 2024, and close on February 1, 2025.
All files must be uploaded as pdf files through the online application portal. There is no fee to submit an application. A successful application will demonstrate the following:

Application Evaluation
Evaluation of the applicant will be based on how well and how effectively the components of the application define and address these qualities and requirements, as well as general fit with the program and overall quality of the applicant pool.
Responding to questions regarding race and ethnicity within the application is optional and voluntary if you choose to respond. The information will not be considered in the application process. Your application will not be negatively impacted if choosing not to answer one or any of these questions.
Top applicants will interview with program staff. The first round of interviews will be an opportunity for applicants to learn more about specific projects that will be available in the summer. Finalists will meet with faculty to interview and discuss further project details.
After an applicant has been selected, one must re-verify their intention to participate, and commit to the schedule and activities for the full duration of PRIMO.
