Michael received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA and a S.M. in Engineering Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He spent over a decade in industry working for Johnson & Johnson, McKinsey, Xilinx, Amazon, and other firms working primarily on supply chain, technology, and inventory management. Prior to joining HBS, Michael worked as a Senior Vice President of Supply Chain for Dollar General and as an Senior Vice President of Planning, Replenishment, and Supply Chain Optimization for JOANN.
