Emily Tedards is a Doctoral Student in the Organizational Behavior program at Harvard Business School and a Doctoral Fellow for the Reimagining the Economy Initiative at Harvard Kennedy School. Emily is interested in interorganizational networks, alliances, and the organization designs that facilitate cross-sector collaboration. Her current projects study this in the context of local economic development, climate/sustainability initiatives, and the implementation of industrial policy. She is also exploring the intersection of organizational theory and political economy, examining the roles of business and government in shaping markets and society.

Prior to beginning her PhD, Emily conducted qualitative research on multi-national companies, start-ups, and non-profits across the globe as a Research Associate for Harvard Business School. She has co-authored Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership, innovation ecosystems, digital and cultural transformation, and corporate accelerators and innovation labs. She is currently co-authoring a book on leading and scaling innovation.

Emily earned her BA from New York University and MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
