Accenture, Burning Glass and Harvard Business School Identify ‘Middle-Skills’ Jobs Critical to U.S. Competitiveness
BOSTON—The demand for “middle-skills” jobs—those that require more education and training than a high school diploma but less than a four-year college degree—remains high, yet the lack of a properly skilled workforce is hindering the ability of American businesses to compete globally. Similarly, a lack of relevant skills is hurting the average American’s ability to earn more and improve living standards. INCAE Observes 50th Anniversary at Celebration at Harvard Business School
BOSTON, Nov. 10, 2014 — On Oct. 29, INCAE Business School marked its 50th anniversary as one of the leading business schools in Latin America with a celebration on the campus of Harvard Business School (HBS) in Boston. As part of the festivities, awards were presented to HBS Dean Nitin Nohria and individuals who helped found INCAE, contributed to its development, and broadened its impact on Latin America through the years. Individual honorees included HBS professor Ray Goldberg and professors emeriti George Cabot Lodge and Wick Skinner, as well as Harry Strachan, a former partner at Boston-based Bain & Company. Harvard Business School Marks Completion of First Cohort of HBX CORe
BOSTON—Harvard Business School’s new digital learning initiative, HBX, held a closing ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 2, on the School’s campus in Boston to formally mark the completion of its first offering, HBX CORe (Credential of Readiness). CORe is an interactive online program specially designed by HBS faculty members and was first offered this summer to undergraduates (rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors) and recent graduates interested in learning the fundamentals of business through a suite of three courses in Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, and Financial Accounting.
