Harvard Business Faculty Report: Pessimism about the Future of the U.S. Economy Deepens; Political Dysfunction the Greatest Barrier to Strengthening U.S. Competitiveness
BOSTON—Three faculty of Harvard Business School’s U.S. Competitiveness Project today released a report that cites political dysfunction as the greatest barrier to strengthening U.S. competitiveness. The report – containing five years of in-depth analysis of U.S. competitiveness and surveys of global business leaders and the general public – lays out concrete steps that must be taken by the business community, state and local governments, and the federal government to improve the prospects of American workers and companies. Harvard Business School Announces 2016 Goldsmith Fellows
BOSTON—Harvard Business School (HBS) has announced the 2016 recipients of its Horace W. Goldsmith Fellowships. Established in 1998 by the Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation and Richard L. Menschel (MBA 1959), a director of the Foundation and a limited partner at Goldman Sachs, to encourage students from the nonprofit sector to attend HBS, these fellowships enable the School to award approximately $10,000 each to as many as ten incoming MBA students.
