    Tata Hall Topping Off Ceremony

    BOSTON—On Monday, September 24 members of the of the Harvard Business School gathered at a topping off ceremony to mark the ongoing construction of Tata Hall. Dean Nitin Nohria, faculty members, and students joined together to toast the many construction workers and all the staff and faculty who are helping turn what not too long ago was a set of blueprints into a stunning new facility for executive education on the HBS campus.       Harvard Business School Faculty Get Immersed in China

      BOSTON—What did you do during your summer vacation? A dozen Harvard Business School professors spent ten days on an "immersion" in the People's Republic of China. Organized and led by Baker Foundation Professor Warren McFarlan, the trip gave faculty from the School's various academic units the opportunity to experience the culture of China and better understand the complexity of doing business there.       HBS Presents the 2012 Alumni Achievement Awards

      BOSTON— As the 919 members of the Harvard Business School MBA Class of 2014 completed their first day of classes last week, they found five outstanding role models waiting for them as HBS bestowed its highest honor, the Alumni Achievement Award, on five distinguished graduates: Cynthia Carroll, chief executive of Anglo American PLC; Franklin P. "Pitch" Johnson, Jr., founding partner of Asset Management Company; Hiroshi Mikitani, chairman and CEO of Rakuten, Inc.; E. Roe Stamps IV, founding managing partner of Summit Partners; Karen Gordon Mills, administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration; and Andrew H. Tisch, co-chairman of Loews Corporation. Dean Nitin Nohria presented the honorees to the first-year students at a special event in Burden Auditorium that included a panel discussion led by Senior Associate Dean Bill Sahlman. Read more.
