A job search in Consumer Products requires thorough research to understand how Covid has affected a company’s business. Most consumer products companies had very uneven business results—some brands saw enormous growth and others saw significant declines as consumers lived under the lockdown.

In April, I was honored to join over 70 Black leaders from a variety of industries who signed a letter that supported our democratic values and the fundamental right to vote, in response to Georgia’s bill that sought to restrict voting access. One other name on the list stood out to me: Dr. James Cash.

Before coming to HBS, I thought of entrepreneurship as a solo endeavor – something you take on only if you have a newsworthy idea, unshakeable self-confidence, and a closet full of black turtlenecks.
