When I was admitted to HBS on December 9, 2021, I was so excited that I flew to Boston the next day to spend the weekend exploring the city, and visualizing what this next chapter in my life could mean for me. By January, I decided not to make a traditional “New Year’s Resolution”, list and instead chose one theme for the year which I could use as a north star for how I would prioritize my time and energy. "I saw taking a SIP as an opportunity to immerse myself in a topic I care deeply about. Attending the Spiritual Lives of Leaders program was a no-brainer because I see business school as a time to introspect, think about my goals, and reflect on my purpose. This class seemed like a perfect avenue to take a step back, hear from other leaders about how to approach integrating spirituality with being a leader in the workplace, and engage with peers who are wrestling with similar questions." Task force and resources for first-generation and low-income students broaden access to the full HBS experience. The Socioeconomic Inclusion Task Force, which comprised students, faculty, and staff from the MBA Program, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Career & Professional Development, worked to address the issue and to surface related tensions in the community. Living on campus means that every day I encounter someone I know. This translates to having someone to turn to on tough days, to share good news with, or to help when illness strikes. But the support network at HBS is much more than that. It means that when you or your child is struggling, someone is there to offer kind words, a hug, or advice. When you achieve something fantastic, someone is there to cheer you on and celebrate with you. When you or a loved one is sick, someone is there to bring dinner or medication. The way parents support each other in this community is nothing short of amazing. [...]
