Michael received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA and a S.M. in Engineering Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He spent over a decade in industry working for Johnson & Johnson, McKinsey, Xilinx, Amazon, and other firms working primarily on supply chain, technology, and inventory management. Prior to joining HBS, Michael worked as an Senior Vice President of Supply Chain for Dollar General and as an Senior Vice President of Planning, Replenishment, and Supply Chain Optimization for JOANN.
